This Cookie Policy explains how WhatsItWorth Labs, Inc. (“we,” “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on whatsitworthguide.com and in the What’s It Worth web app. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. We also use similar technologies such as local storage (to remember app settings) and pixels or SDKs (small pieces of code from partners). We call all of these “cookies” here.
2. Categories we use
- Strictly necessary. Required for sign-in, security, checkout, and remembering your cookie choices. These cannot be switched off.
- Functional. Remember preferences such as your scan-count display or dismissed tips.
- Analytics. Help us understand which features are used and where the app breaks, so we can improve identification and speed.
- Advertising. Used only for Free-plan users to show and measure third-party display ads, and to track affiliate referrals.

Partners may change their cookie names or durations. Mercari and auction-house partners may set their own cookies once you arrive on their sites; those are governed by their policies.
4. Pro and Dealer subscribers
Paid plans are ad-free. If you are signed in to a Pro or Dealer account, we do not load advertising cookies from ad networks. Affiliate attribution may still occur if you click a “Sell it” or comp link; see our Affiliate Disclosure.
5. Your choices
- Cookie banner. Visitors in the EEA, UK, and other regions that require consent see a banner. Non-essential cookies load only after you opt in, and you can change your choice any time through the “Cookie settings” link in the site footer.
- U.S. privacy rights. You can opt out of “sale” or “sharing” for targeted advertising through the “Your Privacy Choices” link. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals.
- Browser controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in and checkout.
- Google ad settings. You can manage personalized ads at Google’s Ad Settings page.
